Jimmie Johnson................... maybe we should put him in a bunny suit........ would that even things out a bit..... I did like him chasing down Kurt Busch, we got to see a little of the other side..... Maybe if you were allowed to have a paint gun..... how would that be.... Jimmie shooting thru the netting....Kurt's helmet visor gets all painted up and he has to pit..... Jimmie follows... paints up a few pit guys then peels out..... it probably doesn't matter some of the odd makers say Jimmie is almost even money to win 5 in a row...... do you think he'll be nominated for the Hall this week...... lets go to the beach.. Two Weekends in Charlotte

.....So..... Kasey Kahne to Hendrick Motorsports..... what a perfect match..... it's too bad he has to wait till 2012..... so where to next season?.....

Teaming up with Tony Stewart's gang seems to be the best option unless mark Martin decides to call it a day a year early, either way I'm glad for Kasey but the rest of this season could be tough..... 20 some odd races with a driver that won't be back next year..... it'll be interesting..... off to Texas! Off this Weekend

Off this weekend... what do the stars do when they're off?... Greg Biffle was taking part in a local charity to help raise funds for dogs in the area... I know he also likes to fly his helicopter and go fishing in the Gulf...

I heard Tony Stewart might play some cards and shoot a little pool... Dale Jr is up on his ranch putting one of his "had too many beers" friends in his very own pokey... Carl Edwards was seen at a local grocery store bumping Brad Keselowski over isle 2... next week Bristol... should be fun! ...PS

Daytona

One down... a whole bunch to go... I don't know why everyone was complaining about how long it took to run the 500...

I always enjoy breaks like that because you get driver interviews and sometimes get to see sides of drivers you don't usually get in those short little 30 second interviews before the race or after a wreck... glad Jamie won... he might not be your favorite driver but he's a real good guy and deserves to have some good things happen to him... you sold on Danika yet?... we'll see how she does this weekend... hey, Juniors in the top 5 in points!... it's the beard... Off Season

Another month and we'll be in Daytona..... off season is flying by..... saw Dale Jr the other day with Danica Patrick..... they make a pretty couple..... but I think it's only business..... Don't know how she'll do but I've got a good feeling about Jr this year.....

Only Time Will Tell

Well it took all year and we're finally here..... will Jimmie get the crown..... will Mark come from behind and do the unthinkable..... will we see pay backs from debts some charged thru the season..... will we have a first time winner.....

Will Rick Hendrick get another championship..... that one's a yes..... as for Jimmie it looks like number 4 in a row..... as for Mark second not so bad..... and the pay backs..... probably..... first time winner..... maybe.....

It's been fun and I'm sorry to see it all wrap up but the guys need a break and it's always exciting to look toward next season..... will we find out if Digger and DW's hair are one in the same..... only time will tell..... PS

One Race Could Change Things

If there is one race that could change things this is probably it..... Super Speedway..... Talladega..... 200mph..... on the edge..... any second the big one could happen.....

Hopefully it won't..... but it will be interesting to see what happens between Juan Pablo and Jeff Gordon..... you don't want too much banging for the fun of it at that place..... and how about AJ..... pulled for DWI..... I'm sure the King is anything but happy..... wonder if he'll still drive the number 43 next season..... PS

Jimmie Johnson's Homecoming

Well they called it a homecoming and that's exactly what it was..... at least for Jimmie Johnson..... fastest practice..... on the pole..... wins the race..... not bad..... will be tough to beat for the championship..... the wheels literally will have to fall off.....

Hats off to Rick Hendrick..... top three cars in the chase plus Tony's car..... not bad Mr. H..... chilly night but as always the folks in Charlotte put on a great show..... 5 to go in the chase with the next couple setting the stage for anyone who might be able to knock off Mr. 3 in a row..... PS

Good for Mark Martin... is there anyone who doesn't believe it's his turn... talked to Juan Pablo today... I like his laugh and his competitive spirit... seems like the kinda guy you would like at your next BBQ... but just make sure you have plenty of Tabasco, I wouldn't wanna make him mad...

I think Tony was right about the regular season champ getting something..... maybe some Old Spice.... ya ever been near Tony after a race.......

If you are around Charlotte next Wednesday night.... Kasey Kahne, Elliott Sadler and others will be open wheel racing for the Susan G Komen foundation with Ray Evernham at his track in Lincoln County... should be fun!

So the field is set..... congrats to all the teams, crews and owners...... but don't ya kinda wish Kyle had made it.... it's like going to the movies to see Batman and you know going in there aren't going to be any bad guys.....

it just makes it more interesting..... how 'bout Mark Martin on top of the points and Tony Stewart right behind..... I would have liked to lay down some money in Vegas on that happening at the beginning of the season...... and of course nice job to Denny Hamlin and the gang at Joe Gibbs... it's not a bad thing to have a little momentum when this thing starts! Two weeks to go...... you may root against Kyle Busch but don't you hope he makes the chase....... you might love the Road Runner but how much fun would it be to watch without that dopey Coyote..... not much.......

Mark Martin and Kasey Kahne.... lets hope they both get in..... Mark because he's one of the best and most admired drivers that hits the track every week and Kasey because he's a good guy and he plays on our basketball team....... how about no Bobby Labonte at Atlanta...... sponsor flexing their cash muscle.... but come on... it's his best rack........ can't wait till Richmond to see who's on the bubble.... that will be a fun to watch! You should be ashamed of yourself if you were rooting for Mark Martin to take out Kyle Busch... I know I am... the ghost of Dale was nowhere to be seen Saturday night... second top ten in a row for Jr...

First time this season, pretty hard to believe... Smoke with his worst outing... luckily he can afford it... two races to go and the guys all around that 12 mark to get into the chase are all sweating a little... if you don't get in there's always next year but no one wants to wait till next year... fans... sponsors... owners... especially the drivers... off to Atlanta we go! PS

Finally... a win!... Congratulations to Brian Vickers... poles are great but there's nothing like a checkered flag... especially when you're trying to get in to the chase...

Jeff Gordon a consistent 2nd and who was that guy in third... looked familiar... just hadn't seen him around in a while... were you thinking there might be another Monday race headed our way?... I was... isn't this a fun time of the year... you've got a handful of drivers who might make the chase which makes these next few races even more exciting... go NASCAR and thanks for listening to PRN!

Certainly an Interesting Season

Good for Denny Hamlin and the gang at Joe Gibbs... 50 races no checkered flags hard to believe... I bet it won't take that long next time...

So what's the biggest surprise this season... Tony Stewart doing so well... Mark Martin chalking up the wins... or is it the flip side... Jr. on the outside of the chase... or is it Kyle Busch either winning or coming in 38th... certainly an interesting season... can JJ make it 4 in a row... we'll see... PS

Wow! How about that Tony Stewart... did anyone think at the beginning of the season he could start up his own team... win the All Star race... win a points race and lead the points?

If they say they did they are lying... congrats to Tony and his team... like the new restarts? I do.

How about Kyle Busch... how about him slamming his trophy hand painted guitar on the ground after the race... how about Sam Bass recovering slowly from watching one of his works of art that took weeks to paint destroyed in seconds... ouch! PS

Another win for Mark Martin... pretty cool... Mayfield out indefinitely... not cool.

Two weeks of races in Charlotte... very cool and there are still tickets left if you want to come... lots of cool stuff happening around town... next week on Tuesday night the 19th Kasey Kahne will be playing on our charity basketball team...7pm... Central Cabarrus HS on Hwy 49 in Concord about ten minutes from the speedway... then Thursday Fri and Saturday it's Jason Aldean, Rodney Atkinks and Clint Black with free shows downtown... come on down we would love to see you here in Charlotte!

Wow..... where to begin..... what a finish..... has to be in the top 5 of all time exciting finishes.....

congrats to Brad with his first win..... holly cow to Carl for a crazy wreck and then jumping out and pulling a Ricky Bobby jogging across the finish line..... then Brad accidently runs into Kyle Busch after the checkered...... thank God for the high catch fence and say a prayer for the folks that got some sheet metal the hard way...... unbelievable..... Saturday Night Racing

I love Saturday night racing... but am I the only one that can't stay awake for the whole race?... I even make sure that the DVR is running... but it happens almost every time...

I wake up about 2am... my neck hurts like the back of Dale JR's car from sleeping at a bad angle, and I've missed the end of the race because the race didn't end at the same time my DVR stopped recording... but according to my wife who saw it on the news, Mark Martin won! Mark is one of those rare guys that if your favorite doesn't win your still pretty happy for him... got to go... now my neck is starting to hurt like the back of Casey Mears car... PS

Stopped Shaving

So I stopped shaving yesterday right after the race....... cut a minute off my work commute time..... boss said he really liked my work lately and my wife was kinda grabby with me....... thanks Jimmie Johnson......

congrats to Mr Hendrick with the checkered flag Sunday on the 25th anniversary of win number one, said he wasn't there for the first win and had to call his mom from a phone booth to get the results...... congrats to Jeff Gordon still with the points leader, don't exactly know how he's doing it without facial hair..... we'll have to look into that one....... 2009 Daytona 500

So the 2009 Daytona 500 is history...... Keith Urban looked and sounded good..... it was kinda cool to see Tom Cruise drive the pace car..... ya think Dale Jr. spun Vickers on purpose.....

should any race end because of rain...... it doesn't seem right, even if you're there wouldn't you want them to run it the next day even if you couldn't stick around for
it...... if the weather got bad at the Super Bowl could you imagine them just calling it in the third quarter.... just seems like a big rip off.... last but not least..... congrats to Matt Kenseth, it was nice to see all the emotion.... even when shortened the Daytona 500 is a pretty big deal!..... Lowe's Motor Speedway Media Tour

Some things of note at the recent Lowes Motor Speedway media tour....... Dale Jr never looks comfortable wearing a shirt with starch in it....... Tony Stewart seems relaxed and proposed that I should come over and shoot pool at his place so he could get "some of that radio money".......

Jimmy Johnson looks 1/100s faster with a beard, not good news for the other guys....... any car with the number 43 on it should also have some blue in the paint scheme....... and just because the cheese cake is free at the media lunch that doesn't mean you should eat 2 pieces....... PS

Well, the season is over... he did it again.

Tying Cale for the most championships in a row... is it just me or does Jimmy Johnson not get the credit he deserves...

This guy and his entire Hendrick team is amazing... but it just doesn't seem like he's looked at as the superstar of the sport... 3 years in a row!!!

If Dale jr sneezes there's enough flash bulbs to light up Vegas... Does he need to flip... a snappynickname... climb a fence... let me know... in the mean time I've got to go, Jr was just spotted at a red light.
